a. Note:   He migrated from Ellerwald, Prussia to Russia in 1794 with his father (B. H. Unruh, p. 258; P. Rempel, p. 49). In the 1801 Chortitza Colony Census he is listed at Einlage #41 and in the 1808 Census at Einlage #41 (B. H. Unruh, p. 258). He came to Russia in 1789 from Ellerwalde, Elbing Dist., W. Prussia and is listed in Einlage in the Chortitza Colony in the 1808 census as per B. H. Unruh p. 258. He resided in Einlage in 1793 and in 1803 as per B. H. Unruh p. 211 and p. 214. In the Oct 1816 Census he is listed at Neu Osterwick #8, where his age is incorrectly given as 36.
