a. Note:   In the 1776 W. Prussia Census he is listed in Ellerwald, Thrift 2, with 2 sons (H. Penner, p. 460). He was a member of the Ellerwald Gemeinde. He migrated from Ellerwald, Prussia to Schoenhorst, Chortitza, S. Russia in 1789 (P. Rempel, p. 48; B. H. Unruh, p. 276). In the 1795 Chortitza Colony Census he is listed at Schoenhorst #3 (B. H. Unruh, p. 241) and in the 1801 Census at Schoenhorst #4. In the 1806 Census he is listed in Schoenhorst (P. Rempel, p. 48). In the 1814 Census he is listed in Neu Osterwick among the landless (B. H. Unruh, p. 284).
