Note: In the 1808 census, he is listed at Ladekopp #17. The 1835 Molotschna Census lists him at Ladekop #9. One record says he died in 1838. In 1808 Franz is listed (B. H. Unruh, "Die niederlaendisch-niederdeutschen Hintergruende," p. 319 #17) as 23 years old and living in Ladekopp, single, with his father and younger siblings. They arrived from Prussia in June 1805. In 1808 the family had 1 wagon, 1/2 plough, 2 harrows, 4 horses, 8 steer. Stummp ("Auswanderung," p. 197) lists Franz's year of birth as 1782. It also mistakenly lists his younger brother Isebrandt as his son (compare Unruh, p. 319, above). The family tree inherited by Arnold Neufeldt-Fast (written by Jacob Thiessen) lists Franz's birthdate as 12 Feb 1786. The "Heubuden Church Register entries: births, marriages and deaths, 1772-1806" lists the birth of Frans Tiessen as 19 Feb 1786.
