a. Note:   In the 1808 census, he is listed at Muntau #8, and is said to have come from Muensterberg, Prussia. In the migration list (Unruh, p. 343) says that he migrated in 1803 from Neumuensterberg, Prussia. The 1835 census entry for Margenau #28 says he moved from Muntau to Margenau in 1824, and died in Margenau in 1831.
  He migrated from Neumuensterberg, Prussia to the Molotschna Colony, S. Russia in 1803 (P. Rempel, p. 57; B. H. Unruh, p. 343). In the 1808 Molotschna Colony Census he is listed at Muntau #8, and is said to have come from Muensterberg, Prussia (B. H. Unruh, p. 307). The 1835 Molotschna Census entry for Margenau #28 says he moved from Muntau to Margenau in 1824, and died in 1831. The 1835 Molotschna Census entry for Muntau #25 says that he moved from there to Margenau in 1824.
