Notes
a. Note:   This couple lived in the village of Margenau, Molotschna, where he was mayor, or "Schultz", for many years. After the death of Maria Giesbrecht, Johann Harms was married to a Widow K. This marriage was not successful. The 1835 Molotschna Census entry for Blumstein #12 says that he moved away from Blumstein in 1832. He is listed at Margenau #10, where it says he came to Russia in 1803 and moved to Margenau in 1833. One family record says he was born 16 Mar 1800. The Dan & Donna Dalke submission says he was born at Osterwick, Chortitza. Could that really be Osterwick, Prussia?
