Notes
a. Note:   Margaret and her sister Helena Friesen came to Russia with their grandfather Friesen. Her parents stayed in Germany because their son Gerhard was very sick. He died there as did their parents. (from Miller Papers, Mennonite Genealogical Centre, Winnipeg). One record says her name was Margaretha Penner. Did she have a previous marriage?
The Miller Papers from Mennonite Genealogy Inc. in Winnipeg listed Hienrich Rempel's wife as Margaret Friesen. The following note was included in that record. All other records, The Bergthal Gemiende Buch, The Reinlander Gemeide Buch, and the 1880 Village Census of the Mennonite West Reserve all list Heinrich's wife as Magaretha Penner. The Miller Papers incicate that Margaret Friesen's descendants marry into the Wilhelm Meuller family, however it is Margaret Penner who is the Grandmother of Wilhelm Meuller. Accuracy of the below comment is questionable.
