a. Note:   US census 1910 Portland, Multnomah, OR: Howand Hoadley 42 b. NY, Maude E. Hoadley 29 b Canada. New York Herald Feb. 28, 1894: "Mr. Howland Hoadley, who has been away from New York for more than two years, is visiting his mother, Mrs. Russell H. Hoadley, of No. 11 West Forth-ninth street. Mr. Hoadley is accompanied by his bride, who was the eldest daughter of Mr. Otto Sutar, of Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. Their marriage took place in August last, at St. Stephen's Church, Sydney, N.S.W., the Rev. Dr. Langley officiating."
  Class of Yale 1899: Howland Hoadley : His brother reports : " The spring after he graduated he took a trip to Valparaiso, where he remained for over a year, working in the house of Graham, Rowe & Co. He returned to New York in December, 1891, and after remaining at home for a few months left for Australia to start business for himself. He met his wife, who was Miss Adele Sutor, in Sydney, where they were married in August, 1893. Shortly after, he went to Melbourne, where he is now settled in business."
