KATHERINE GRAVES: Birth: 1622 in Ireland. Death: BEF 1668 in Resurrection Manor, Calvert, Prince George's County, Maryland
Note: Arrived in Virginia in October of 1608, coming from England in the ship "Mary and Margaret" with Captain Christopher Newport's second supply. He was one of the original Adventurers (stockholders) of the Virginia Company of London, and one of the very early planters (settlers) who founded Jamestown, Virginia, the first permanent English settlement in North America. He was captured by the indians and taken to Opechancanough. Thomas Savage who came to Virginia with the first supply was sent to rescue him. He was a member of the First Legislature Assembly in America. He had a patent for 200 acres of land on the Eastern Shore of the Bay of Chesapeake is recorded 03-14-1628. This was in Accomack, now part of Northampton County, Virginia
