Know all men by these presents that we John Daly and Stephen Vittitow are held and firmly bound unto his excellency Issac Shelly Governor of Kentucky and his successors in the penal sum of fifty pounds current money to which payment will and truly to be made we bind ourselves, our heirs, Ex'ters and adm'ers jointly and severally firmly be these presents sealed and with our seals and dated this 19th day of October 1792. The condition of the above obligation is such that if there should be no legal cause to obstruct a marriage shortly intended to be solemnized between the above bound John Daly and Betsey Larkins---Stepdaughter of William Andres---then this obligation to be void otherwise to remain in full force and virtue.
Witness John Daly Ben Grayson Stephen Vittitow October the eighteen day 1792 this is to certify that Catercen Larkin is satisfyed that her daughter Betsey Larkens should give in marriage with John Daly, likewise her stepfather. Whereunto we both let our hands witness.
