William was a Civil War veteran of a Texas unit. Shortly after the wa r William moved his immediate family to Texarkana, in Miller County, A rkansas. Other Molsey family members stayed in Texas. William and his father's family moved to Madison County, Texas from Butler County, Ala bama. William's father was James Albert Mosley. James's father was Wil liam Molsey from I think Edgefield County, South Carolina. The Mosley family of Butler County, Alabama and Edgefield County, South Carolina was a large family.
