1880 Needham Perrett is on the 1880 census with his third wife, Luvina. Ros anna died March 8, 1869 . This date of death from Bible record of Daniel Green Till recorded by Bobby Burkett who had t he Bible at one time. The grave location is no t known. Needham Perrett was a veteran of the War of 1812. His application for bounty land 10 June 187 1, he stated that he was 78 years old, marrie d to the former Dicey Worl in Butler County in M ay 1869, that he enli sted for 5 years at Marion, South Carolina on Sept 3, 1813 and was hon or ably discharged at Washington DC in the spring of 1815, that his pl ace of abode was about 1 3 miles south of Greenville. His testimony wa s attested to by N. B. Lynn and Benjamin Majors. 20 December 1880, Mrs. Vicy Perritt, age 48 of Butler County, swore sh e was the widow of Need ham Perritt, late, a private in the 3rd U S Ri fles, Reg Army, War of 1812. She further state d that she was married to Mr. Perritt on the 22 day of April 1869 and that her husband died o n the 26 day of November 1880. For proof of claim she submitted her marriage license. Testify ing to the identy of the widow were F. J. Wo rld aged 19 years, and W. W. Pouncey, age 26 year s, who was a residen t of Greenville, and had known both of the Perritts for 8 years and wa s p resent at the death of Needham. A final paper in the packet state s the death of the widow wa s July 31, 1902 and that her maiden name h ad been Visey World. This couple are buried in Mt . Olive East Cemeter y where her name was inscribed as Lou Vicey Reaves Parritt. _________ This is the only land record I have found for Daniel Till.
