a. Note:   Obit: Andrew Whyte - After a lengthy illness, the life of Andrew Wesley Whyte, L'Amable was terminated in Kingston on May 1st. Born in Fort Stewart 92 yrs. ago, Andrew was the son of William & Elizabeth Whyte (Nee: Storey) & spent his entire lifetime in the area. Surviving are his wife, Annetta Marion Bennett & a family of 12: James, L'Amable; Telford, & Ruby, (Mrs. Norman Cassibo) in Toronto; Sadie (Mrs. Bill Goldfinch) Marmora; Jean (Mrs. Jim Rodger) Madoc; Elizabeth (Mrs. Frank Woodcox) Maberley; Susan (Mrs. Bill Childers) Detroit; Donald, Port Perry; & Gertrude (Mrs. Gordon Hennessy), Peggy (Mrs. Keith Hennessy), Marjorie Whyte & Robert Whyte are in Windsor. Predeceased by Margaret, Eunice & Lindsay. Andrew was a veteran of WWI. & a member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Bancroft Branch 181. A Legion Memorial Service was held in the Hattin Funeral Home on May 3, at 7p.m. Rev. John Weese officiated at the service in the funeral home on May 4 at 1:30p.m. with interment in Hermon Cem. Pallbearers were all Legion members: Lou Robbins, Russell Robbins, Jack Anderson, Sr. Bill Fuller, Danny Denault, & Hubert Mountney. [BT11MAY1977
