Jacob Wise: Birth: ABT 1812. Death: AFT 1836
Note: Henry and Catherine moved to Lake Twp., Stark Co., Ohio about 1812 (a biographical sketch of his son, Daniel, in the "History of Portage Co., Ohio" by Warner, Beers & Co., 1885, says that Daniel, "who was a native of Pennsylvania, settled in 1812, at a very early age, with his parents, Henry and Elizabeth Wise, in Greentown, Stark Co., Ohio, where he was brought up, and where in 1830, he married Miss Susanna Stripe..."). The 1810 census of West Buffalo Twp., Northumberland Co., Pa., shows a Henry Wise with 6 boys (4 under 10 years, and 2 between 10 and 15) and a girl (under 10 years) which fits with what is known of Henry and Catherine's children at that time. In this same township (West Buffalo) in 1800 is a Henry Wise with 3 boys under 10 (perhaps one of his sons died between 1800 and 1810). Henry died about 1835. There was a Petition for Partition of his property filed in 1836 by his son, George, and naming his siblings as defendants.
