Note: Frank and Amanda are in the June 1880 census of Sidney Twp., Montcalm Co., Mich., which listed his occupation as carpenter. Their marriage record (May of 1880) indicated he was a "joiner" and that he was born at Salem, Vt., while she was born at "Veronia" N.Y. (Verona is just a few miles southwest of Rome, N.Y., which is where Amanda's sister was born).
They are in Grand Rapids during the 1900 and the 1910 census where he was also listed as a carpenter. These census records both list her name as Susan/Susie A. (consistent with the 1855 census of Verona). They had no children still living according to the 1910 census, but it is possible she had had one child (the writing is not clear in this census). The 1900 census indicates she had no children and none were living. They were buried in Sheridan Cemetery.
