Note: The birth date of Lucy Dustin Hall according to the "The Halls of New England: Genealogical and Biographical" is "June 1, 1758" while the Lucy Dusin in "The Duston-Dustin Family Genealogy" by the Duston-Dustin Family Association, indicates Lucy was born on "12 Jan 1758". Still, it seems more than likely that they are the same person. Note that our Lucy Dustin who married Thomas Hall named her children David Dustin Hall, Jonathan Hall, and Moody March Hall, and Parsons/Percival. Lucy's maiden name was Dustin, while the maiden name of Thomas's grandmother was March, and John and Marcy Dustin (parents of the Lucy Dustin of the Duston-Dustin Family) had a son named Moody (a fairly uncommon name). It is also of interest that Thomas, father of Parsons/Percival, had brothers named Percival and Moses (and Parsons/Percival named his first child, Moses). Also note that some Dustin genealogies refer to Lucy having married "______ Hall". Finally, note that Haverhill, Mass., where John Dustin's grandmother was captured by the Indians (see hannahdunstin.com) is near the border between New Hampshire and Mass. According to an Email from Jerry Cox "John lived in Haverhill, MA until the rerunning of line put his farm in NH, Haverhill Dist. A portion of that district became known as Plaistow, NH. In 1748 he sold and bought land in Groton, MA: 92 acres with buildings and lived there until death. On 30 Mar 1764 his 'widow Marcy' sold her interest of her late husband. She was living 10 Apr 1773 when she sold 50 acres in Groton with buildings." Lucy's birth place as Groton, Mass., is from various sites listing the descendants of Hannah Dustin.
