Note: In his father's probate records dated 1851 Daniel's residence was listed as Thornapple, Barry Co., Mich. (in 1839 part of Thornapple Twp. and part of Yankee Springs Twp. were set apart to create Irving Twp.) The 1850 and 1860 census of Irving Twp. lists Daniel, Hannah, and family. Note that in 1860 they were living next to the Jacob Jordan family (Jordan's wife, Mary, was Hannah's sister). According to a biographical sketch of Jordan in the "History of Barry County" by Potter, 1912, "Mrs. Hannah Williams, wife of Daniel Williams, who first settled upon Section 19, Irving Twp., in 1837, and Mrs. Cornelia S. Hills, whose husband, Luther S. Hills, first settled and established Irving Station, were sisters of Mary Coldren Jordan." The "History of Allegan and Barry Counties, Michigan" by Ensign, 1880, reports that Daniel was Treasurer of Irving Twp. in 1843-1844. Daniel and Hannah were buried in Irving Cemetery.
