Note: I have worked this out from the Northants marriage index. If Thomas was born in Northants, the only possible match for his father is Richard Denny and his wife Elizabeth. Both are described as being of Norton. I am not sure about this at all.
Where do the Denny's originate from? The name is said to be Norman, moving to Ireland and then to England.
There was a Hannah Denny living in Helmdon, Northants - she married Samuel Harper in 1701 in Helmdon. I do not know if she connects to this tree.
The Public Records Office Access to Archives site has records of land sold by Thomas Denny in Brockhall for the building of the canal. I haven't linked him to to this tree yet: Thornton (Brockhall) collection TH2060 TH 3658; Refers to a plan in the margin of the Deed and on back to purchase of 1a. 1r. 29p from Thomas Denny for 114.10.0d on 23.12.1795
There are children to a Richard and Elizabeth in Castlethorpe, and no marriage in Castlethorpe that could be them - JOhn b 1742, Hannah b 1744, Thomas b 1746 and Elizabeth b 1749. Is this the same family?
2010 I now think Richard was baptised 11 Apr 1714 Woodford Halse - this is the only Richard Denny of this period in the Northants baptism index and his parents were Thomas and Mary.
