a. Note:   Thomas, in addition to his law practice, was in busness with thewidowed Lucy Price Weisiger (his mother-in-law) as Lucycontinued the family business, the Weisiger Inn, after hisfather-in-law, Capt Daniel Weisiger, died (1829). The WeisigerHotel was sold in 1841 to a relation of Thomas' futuredaughter-in-law, Helen. In 1846 Thomas & mother-in-law, LucyPrice Weisiger, purchased a home jointly at Washington &Wapping, Frankfort, Ky., where presumably Lucy, Thomas, Isabellaand the Lindsey children all made their home. Isabella died in March of 1852 leaving Thomas with 7 childrenranging from 7 months to 16 yoa. It must have seemed highlylikely that Thomas would remarry, which he later did.Meanwhile, Lucy's son & Isabella's brother, Dr. Joseph Weisiger, lost his 2nd wife in May 1852. Subsequently, Lucy Price and herrecently widowed son, Joseph, left Kentucky together to joinfamily already in Texas where the Weisigers became ranchers inVictoria County. Lucy passed away in 1857 in Texas. There issome debate amongst her descendants as to whether her remainswere actually returned to Frankfort to be buried beside Daniel ,although her stone is in Frankfort and no Texas grave has everbeen located for Lucy. --AGP
