    * Note:

    George enlisted into Company F of the 77th Infantry Regiment in September of 1861 and was discharged at White Sides, TN on January 4, 1864. He re enlisted into the same outfit on the date of his discharge and was finally discharged on December 6, 1865 at Victoria, Texas.
    He was wounded at Chickamanga, TN on September 19, 1863. He was shot in the left shoulder and struck his head in the fall. Both continued to bother him throughout the remained of his life. Thomas W. Trexler of Middle Spring, his nephew, appeared as a witness, in October of 1888, to a declaration for pension by George.
    Living with George and Catherine is Benjamin Rhodes 22, a chair maker.
