    John Over died intestate in Londonderry Township, Dauphin County, Pennsylvania. He was survived by his wife, Ann Over and nine children: David Over; Mary Over married Jacob Wilhelm; Catherine Over married John Crotzer; Peter Over; John Over; Elizabeth Over; Esther Over; Ann Over; Jacob Over.

    Esther Over, Ann Over, Elizabeth Over, and Jacob Over were all under 14 years of age. Ulrich Weltmer was appointed their guardian. Administration account January 22, 1794. Orphan Court Record Book A, Volume 1, p. 431. Dauphin County, Pennsylvania.

    John and Ann Ober of Londonderry Twp., Dauphin Co., Pa. sold to Peter and John Ober, Jr. (their sons) of Londonderry Twp. for 3 pounds. Written Nov. 27, 1793. Recorded June 10, 1801. Witnesses: Thomas Clark; Jacob Killinger; Jacob Wilhelm. Previous land history: John Ober, father of John Ober and Peter Ober mentioned above, received warrant for 500 acres from Pennsylvania for the land in Londonderry Twp., Lancaster Co., Pa. (now Dauphin Co., Pa.) on December 17, 1745. This land was bounded by Leonard Leininger; Henry Bowman; William Sayer; formerly Michael Myer. Jacob Eichelbernner received a warrant for 100 acres of land in Londonderry Twp. bounded by John Ober on October 23, 1753. He then sold his land to John Ober. John Ober in turn sold this 100 acres to Michael Miller which in turn Miller later resold to John Ober. When John Ober died intestate his children (John Ober, eldest son; Peter Ober; Barbara Ober married Peter Ebersole; Mary Ober, widow of Ulrich Weltmore, her two sons Abraham and John Weltmore) received two tracts of land on Aug. 20, 1782: One tract containing 148 acres was bounded by Peter Ebersole; Ulrich Weltmer; William Sayer; John Ober, Peter Ober. The second tract containing 1085 was bounded by Peter Ebersole; Ulrich Weltmer; Anthony Hemperly; John Palm, Jr.; John Ober; Peter Ober. Deed Book L, Volume 1, p. 460-464.

    John Ober and Peter Ober of Londonderry Twp., Dauphin Co., Pa. sold to Abraham Weltmer and John Weltmer of Dauphin Co., Pa. sold 252 acres and 52 perches for 3 pounds. Recorded June11, 1792. Witnesses: Thomas Clark; Andrew Kilker. Previous land history: John Ober, father of John Ober and Peter Ober mentioned above, received warrant for 500 acres from Pennsylvania for the land in Londonderry Twp., Lancaster Co., Pa. (now Dauphin Co., Pa.) on December 17, 1745. This land was bounded by Leonard Leininger; Henry Bowman; William Sayer; Michael Myer.     John Over received a warrant for 100 acres in Derry Twp., Dauphin Co., Pa. on Dec. 17, 1745 (date of survey) and sold 156 acres to Peter Over on Mar. 30, 1818 (date of return) (H-15-446;C-156-135) Dauphin County, Pennsylvania, Book A, Volume 56, p. 14.
