Raymon VonAllmen services Thursday --
Funeral services for Raymon VonAllmen, 84, Rover, will be 2:30 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 27, 2000, at Rover Assembly of God Church under the direction of Robertson-Drago Funeral Home of West Plains.
Mr. VonAllmen died 3:18 a.m. Monday, Jan. 24, 2000, at Beverly Healthcare, West Plains. He was born Aug. 2, 1915, at Rover, the son of Elmer Franklin and Nora Belle Jolliff VonAllmen.
He received his education at Rover School, and 62 years ago on Jan. 22, 1938, was married at Alton to Murielene Dunkin.
Mr. VonAllmen had been a school bus driver for 29 years for the Rover, Thomasville and Alton School Districts and was a farmer. He had served on the board of directors of Jolliff Cemetery for 47 years.
He was a member of the Rover Assembly of God Church and served the church as a deacon for many years.
Survivors include his wife, Murielene VonAllmen, of the family home; two sons, Bobby VonAllmen, Rover and Gary VonAllmen and wife, Wanda, Pottersville; 2 granddaughters, Sarah VonAllmen and Tracy VonAllmen, both of Pottersville; 3 brothers, John VonAllmen and Dean VonAllmen, both of West Plains, and Marlin VonAllmen, Rover; one sister, Bertha Willard, West Plains; 2 sisters-in-law, Eula VonAllmen and Alice Lea Dills, both of West Plains; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Lee VonAllmen and Wade VonAllmen; and one sister, Clara Trantham.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Rover Assembly of God Church Building Fund and left at the funeral home.
The body will lie in state 5 p.m. today until noon Thursday at the funeral home. Family visitation will be 7 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday.
Burial will be in Jolliff Cemetery under the direction of Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.
