Another family group sheet says Sarah is the daughter of Levi P. Dunkin & Lucinda. But that's because her mother died and she and her father John W. were living with Levi in 1850.
Sally had 5 daughters with William King.
?Aunt Sarah King was the midwife in the area. She would deliver the baby, rub melted mutton tallow overits body, and tie a cloth pouch filled asafetida around the neck to war off disease. She doctored earaces by blowing warm tobacco smoke in the ear, and took off warts by counting how many a person had and touching a few. For thrush she blew into the child?s mouth. She sat up with the sick and laid out the dead.? (Oregon County History, p18)
Mart Willard, Sallie's 3rd husband wanted to move to Kansas. She refused to go and leave her family, so one day he left and never came back. She never heard from him again. They probably never divorced, but she took her King name back. In 1900 Mart was living with his aunt Polly Lowe in Douglas Co, Mo.
