  • Name: Johann Freidrich LINDENSCHMIDT
  • Sex: M
  • Birth: 24 DEC 1723 in Hassloch, Pfalz, Bavaria, Germany
  • Death: in Torscha, Banat, Serbia (or Vrbas)
  • Note:

    German Birth Records:
Johann Friedrich Lindenschmidt, b Dec 24, ch Dec 27, 1723, in Hassloch, Pfalz, Bavaria, Germany,
son of Johan Daniel Lindenschmidt & Anna Barbara.

    German Marriages:
Johann Friedrich Lindenschmids married Elisabetha Holtzwarths, July 19, 1747, Hassloch, Germany.
[This seems a bit strange because Fredrich would have been 14 years old at his marriage.]

In 1748 ?Joh. Frederich? seems to have come to America with his father. Evidently, he returned to Germany before long.

There were 3 various listings of Friederich Lindenschmidt in Hassloch, Pfalz, Bavaria, Germany birth records. they appear to be the same man, but possibly with 2 different wives (I believe the first 2 children had the same mother) ?
Children of Jon. Friedrich Lindenschmidt & Catharina Elisabetha
o Anna Magdalena Lindenschmidt, ch Jan 19, 1749, Hassloch
Children of Friederich Lindenschmied & Elisabetha
o Johannes Lindenschmied, ch May 26, 1751, Hassloch
Children of (Joh.) Friederich Lindenschmitt (Lindenschmitt, Lindenschmied) & Anna Elisabetha
o Anna Elisabetha Lindenschmied, ch May 3, 1754, Hassloch
o Maria Catharina Lindenschmied, ch May 3, 1754, Hassloch
o Philipp Peter Lindenschmitt, ch Nov 14, 1756, Hassloch
o Anna Catharine Lindenschmitt, ch May 2, 1762, Hassloch
o Maria Magdalena Lindenschmitt, ch Nov 11, 1765, Hassloch

His first son, Johann Joseph moved to America in 1769 (possibly because he had a step-mother) to be with his grandfather, Daniel.
His only other son, Phillip Peter moved to Vrbas (Serbia) with him (prob about 1788) and they both died there.

Frederich and his son Peter died of Malaria after their move to Vrbas. The extensive wetlands in the 1780s because of abandoned fertile land may have accounted for the mosquitos that produced the malaria.
