"Arthur Trantham Interment Held --
Funeral services for Arthur Francis Trantham, 42, of St. Louis were held at 2 p.m. Sunday in the Carter Chapel in West Plains with the Rev. Ronald Fisher of St. Louis officiating.
Mr. Trantham died Thursday morning in Jefferson Barracks at St. Louis. He was born April 8, 1925 near Rover, the son of Mrs. Genevieve Trantham of West Plains and the late Clyde Trantham. He was married May 11, 1948 at Salem, Ark. to Elsie Davis who survives him. He was a member of Lafayette Park Baptist Church in St. Louis and was a Veteran of World War II having served with the U.S. Army.
Surviving besides his wife of he family home and his mother of West Plains is a son Dennis of the home; five brothers, Norman of Koshkonong; Wayne of Liberty, Mo.; Dean of Fairfield, Ill.; Earl of Pueblo, Colo and Everett of Thomasville; four sisters, Luranell Briley, DeSoto, Mo.; Ellen Pierce, Springfield, Mo.; Mayme Hull, Little Rock, Ark. and Tilda Ann Fisher, St. Louis. One brother preceded him in death.
Burial was in Jolliff Cemetery under the direction of Carter Funeral Home of West Plains.
Pallbearers were Dean Vonallmen, Raymond Vonallmen, Charles Thompson, Junior Judd, Frank Holler and Pat White.
