Funeral services for the Rev. Ralph Ira Jolliff, 77, West Plains, will be 2 p.m. Tuesday,July 22, 1997, at Faith Assembly of God church under the direction of Robertson-Drago Funeral Home, West Plains, with the Rev. Gene Worley officiating.
Rev. Jolliff died 4:40 p.m. Saturday, July 19, 1997, at Ozarks Medical Center, West Plains. He was born April 20, 1920, at Rover, the son of James Razie and Audrey Ann Miller Jolliff.
On Dec. 14, 1946, at Salem, Ark., he married Nana Lee Fore.
He received his education at the Sailor and Jolliff Schools. He was a veteran of World War II having served with the U.S. Army during the invasion and conquest of Europe and attained the rank of First Sergeant. He had been employed by Frisco Transportation and had worked as a secutiry guard at Ozarks Medical Center for 21 years. He served as president of the Jolliff Cemetery Association. He was an ordained Methodist minister having pastored the South Fork Church. He was of the non-denominational faith with his membership at South Fork Church.
Survivors include his wife, Nana Lee, of the family home; two sons, Rick Jolliff and wife, Sherri, and Billy Jolliff and wife, Jamie, West Plains; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; six sisters, Irene Mills, Dayton, Ohio, Rachel Haring and husband, Lonzo, Sparta, Amanda Marshall, Loyda Stapleton and husband, J.W., and wera Fite and husband, Robert, all of West Plains, and Lottie Reynolds and husband, Ken, Nixa; a brother-in-law, Jeff Huddleston, Springfield; two sisters-in-law, Joe Lynn Wakefield and husband, Donald, Independence, and Morean Fowler, West Plains; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, Ruth Huddleston and Blanche Hardin; and one infant brothers.
Visitation will be 7 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
The body will lie in state at the funeral home until noon Ruesday.
Memorial contributions may be made to Gideon Bible Society and left at the funeral home.
Burial will be at Jolliff Cemetery under the direction of Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.
Military honors will be provided by American Legion Posts 23 and 374, Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1828 and AnVets Post 98."
