Lucetta was my ggg-grandmother.
She was the daughter of Jacob? & Barbary Mumenthaler (probably of Swiss & German origin).
Her son, Jerry, said on the 1880 census that she was born in Switzerland.

Obituary from the Fayette Democrat (Vandalia), Aug 1878:
"Mrs. Lucetia Lindersmith (sic), to whom former reference has been made as being dangerously ill, quietly breathed her last on the morning of the 23d inst., aged about fifty-six years. She leaves four sons and two daughters, all of whom are grown, one sister and brother, together with hosts of friends to mourn her loss. She was born in Pennsylvania and moved to this state twenty odd years ago, where she has lived a quiet life and died at peace with all mankind."
[The sister would have been Mary Ann and the brother, Jacob.]
This obit was a photocopy of an actual newspaper clipping. I searched for archives and this is what I found:
Fayette Democrat (Vandalia), at A. Lincoln Pres. Lib, 1862, 1868-77
Fayette County Democrat (Vandalia), at A. Lincoln Pres. Lib. 1880-82, 1885-86

Someone from the Fayette Co IL genealogical society said that there are no newspapers on microfilm before 1892 because they were all destoyed by fire prior to that time. The obituary above was from a newspaper clipping saved by a family member.
In 1880 her sister Barbary's son, John Morledge was living with her son Jerry Lindesmith in Marion Co, IL.
They may have been buried in the Tillman (Vernon) Cemetery just outside of Shobonier, but over the county line into Marion County.
