Obituary in the Press, 23 Oct 1913: ?Last Saturday at the hospital in this city occurred the death of Ingebregt O. Viken, a well known farmer and resident of Rocksbury. The deceased was 35 years, 4 months old, a native of Norway and a resident of this county for a number of years. He was taken sick with Bright?s disease about a week previous to his death. The burial services were conducted at his home last Tuesday afternoon.?
Bright's disease is a term once used to describe a form of kidney disease that involves inflammation of glomeruli, microscopic structures in the kidneys. Dr. Richard Bright of England first described the disease in 1827. Doctors now refer to this condition as glomerulonephritis (glo-mer-u-lo-nuh-FRI-tis).
