Obituary: Ole Helgeson, pioneer resident of Wyandotte township, died at his home Thursday, November 30 at the age of 84 years. Mr. Helgeson was born October 4, 1855 in Osterdalen, Norway. He came from Norway to Lake Preston, SD in 1885. In 1887 he moved to Fargo and to Clay county in 1889. Ten years later, in 1899, he came to Wyandotte township, where he has lived ever since. He was a member of St. Pauli Lutheran church.
His wife, Ingeborg Baken, whom he married at Perley on December 12, 1889, preceded him in death. Other deceased relatives include his parents and one brother.
Survivors are a son Alfred Helgeson of Wyandotte township; one brother Martin Helgeson of Alphina, SD; thres sisters residing in Norway; and three grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon from St. Pauli Lutheran church, Rev. M. L. Dahle of St. Hilaire officiating and interment was made in St. Pauli Lutheran cemetery.
