    Mrs. Hannah Amundson Arvesen who was born at Kristiansand, Norway, on April 26, 1870, died August 26, at the home of her eldest son, Elbert Arvesen, who lives near Wanke.

    In the year 1879 she came to America with her parents and only brother, Jacob. After living in Minneapolis for three years, they moved to Hazel. There she stayed with her parents until her marriage to Martin Arvesen in the year of 1883. Since then she has lived in Hickory township, near Neptune. Her married life was blessed with six children, of whom one has gone before his mother into the eternal home.

    She leaves to mourn five children: Elbert Arvesen, Lester Arvesen, and Mrs. Martin Knutson of Wanke; Mrs. Joe Digerness of Eveleth; and Miss Dora Arvesen of Duluth; and three grandchildren: Edna, Alida, and Harry Digerness.

    Her remains were taken to Hazel, where it was placed to rest beside her parents. Rev. C. F. Glock of Goodridge officiated at the home and Rev. C. M. Grimsrud of St. Hilaire at the church.
