Indenture made at Bettele, 5 April, 26 Edward III, witnessing that whereas Sir John de Haukeston had enfeoffed Nicholas de Haukeston his brother and William Baillif of Hodynet, chaplain, of his manors of Wyrme, Madele, Onele, Audele and Stanlawe, and of other lands in Leek, Chetilton, Wrythenford and Haywod, and had given them all his goods and chattels, as by his charter and deed appeared; they grant, for themselves and their heirs, that they will, whenever it pleases him, re-enfeoff him, Anable his wife, and the heirs of their bodies, of the said manors and lands, and that they will give him back the said goods, and if he shall not be thus enfeoffed they grant that the said charter of feoffment and grant of goods shall be held for void.
