Name: Ralph de BEAUPRE , of Kelynack & Trenoweth, Sir
Birth: ABT 1270 in Kelynack, St Just, Cornwall, England
This generation is not in Douglas Richardson's line. However the line has a major gap about this point as shown below:
1. William FitzRichard, b. c1205
2. Isabel FitzWilliam, d. 1325
3. Ralph Beaupre, d. 1329
4. Isabel Beaupre, b. c1325 (because she was m. <1343 for the 1st time)
That is 120 years in a few generations--possible, but not likely.
Richard Hodgson, db=ancestorsearch, has this generation, citing "Herald & Genealogist" (1873), p. 229-231, and it has the following Latin entry, in which Douglas Richardson interpreted Sergeauxe to be Furneaux. Douglas states that Margaret Furneaux's father was Matthew, not Simon, so one further correction would seem to have been required.
Herald & Genealogist 7 (1873): 229- 231 (list of Fitz Ives family obits: "Obitus d'ni Ran'di de bello
prato militis filii et hered' d'ci d'ni Steph'i et Isabelle uxoris in festo S'coru' Petri et Pauli Ao d'ni 1329," "Obitus Margarete uxoris sue filie d'ni Simonis Sergeauxe [recte Furneaux] milit' viijo die mensis Augusti Ao d'ni 1349.").
It seems that with 2 generations in a row with a Ralph Beaupre married to a Margaret, Douglas may have easily overlooked a generation.
