    William Hixson lived in Crosswicke and in Maidenhead: Hunterdon Co., NJ. He married a second time to: Phebe Hendricks Geils, mother of Matthew and Mary Geils.
    William Hixson's will was made Dec 3, 1772, and probated: Jan 1723 in Burlington, NJ.

    The following is typed exactly as it was recieved by me on AOL 10 Jun 1995 from Roger Hixson of Greenville, SC.

    In the Name of God Amen.
    I William Hixson of Maidenhead in the County of Hunterdon and province of New Jersey this third day of December Anno 1722 being sick and weak of body but of perfect minde and memory thanks be to God. therefore calling to minde the
    uncertainty of life knowing it is appointed for all men once to dye doe make and ordaine this my last will and testiment
    that is to say principley and furst of all I give and recomend my soule into the hand of all Mighty God hoping through the merrits and mediation of Jesus Christ our Lord to recieve free pardon and Remission of all my sins and an inheritance amoungst them that are sanctified and my body to the earth to be buried by my Executors here after named.

    And as for such worldly estate where with it has pleased God to bless me with in this life I give devise and dispose of in the manner and form as follows, This is to say furst I will that all my just debts which I do owe to any person or persons what so ever be truly satisfied and paid in convienient time after my decease by my executors here after named.
    Item--I give to my wife's son Mathew Giles and her daughter Mary Giels each of them twenty Shillings apiece ould currencey to be paid to them within one year after my deceace.
    Item--I will that my house and plantation where I now dwell shall be sould by my executors here after named and phebe my wife to have one third part of the money that said plantation is sould for during her widowhood and when she
    shall happen to dye or to be married to another man that then my willis that that third part of the price of my plantation which was in her hands (if sould before that time) shall be equally divided between all my sons that are then living and as to the other two thirds parts of the price my said plantation above mentioned my willis that it shall be divided amoungst all my children Sons and daughters thats to say my three sons viz John Joseph and Benjamine and my daughter Presillah all haveing had something already my willis that they should each of them half so much as one of the rest that has had nothing.
    I also will that my wife have one third part of my personal estate and the other two parts be divided amoungst all my children in manner as above mentioned. I also make and ordaine my trusty and well beloved sons John and
    Benjamine Hixson to be my executors of this my Last Will and Testiment. I also Give them thirty shillings apiece for thier trouble of Administration I also give and bequieth my properietery Right to be equally divided between all
    my ________ sons equally share and share alike.

    This twenty fourth day of January Anno Dominiu one thousand Seven Hundred and twenty two came personally before me Samuel Bustill Deputy Surrogate of the western Division of the Province of New Jersey duly commisioned impowered
    and appointed to take the probate of William Joseph Worth being one of the people called Quakers who having taken the solomn affirmation according to a low of this province in ________ behalf made and provided doth declare and
    affirm that the within written contains the last will and testiment of William Hixon late of Maidenhead in the County of Hunterdon yeoman deceased as the testator delivered the same to him to be put in writing and this affirmt doth
    further affirm and testifie that the legacies bequethed, gifts, grants, nominations and powers contained in the within will was set down by this affirmt by the express order and direction of the testator, and that at the time when he _______] the words within written from the testator and sd Testator was of sound mind and memory to the best of his knowledge and
