    BARONY OF BONVILLE (II) 1461

    CECILY (or Cicely), suo jure, BARONESS HARINGTON AND BARONESS BONVILLE, great-grand-daughter and heir, being daughter and heir of William (BONVILLE), LORD HARINGTON by Catharine, daughter of Richard (NEVILL), EARL OF SALISBURY, which William was son and heir apparent of William Bonville, who was son and heir apparent of Lord Bonville by his 1st wife. She had succeeded her father, 31 December 1460, in the Barony of Harington, he being grandson and heir (10 March 1457/8) ex parte materna of William (Harington), Lord Harington.

    She was aged 13 in 1474, and married, 1stly, before April 1475, [contract dated 18 July 1474], as his 2nd wife, Thomas (GREY), 1st MARQUESS OF DORSET, who died 20 September 1501. She married 2ndly, Henry (STAFFORD), EARL OF WILTSHIRE) who died March 1523. She died 12 May 1529, and was buried at Astley, co. Warwick. Her will, in which she styles herself inter alia " LADY HARYNGTON AND BONVYLL," dated 6 March 1527/8, proved 5 November 1530. [Complete Peerage II:219, XIV:98]

    He [Thomas Grey] married, 2ndly (cont. 18 July 1474.), Cicely (then aged 13), suo jure BARONESS HARINGTON and BARONESS BONVILLE, daughter and heir of William (BONVILLE), LORD HARINGTON, by Catherine, daughter of Richard (NEVILL), EARL OF SALISBURY. He died 20 September 1501, and was buried at Astley, co. Warwick, aged 50. His widow married, as 2nd wife, Henry (STAFFORD), EARL OF WILTSHIRE, who died March 1523. She died 12 April 1530, and was buried at Astley. Will, in which she ignores her 2nd husband, styling herself "Lady Cecill, Marquess Haryngton and Bonvyll," dated 6 March 1527/8, proved 5 November 1530.
