WILLIAM LE SCROPE, son and heir, born probably about 1320 (g); did homage for his lands soon after his father's death; about July 1338 was with the King in Flanders; October 1339, with the army at Burenfos or Virenfos in Picardy; 1340 July and September, at siege of Tournay; 1342, with Ralph, Lord Nevill, in the expedition into Scotland; December 1342 at the siege of Vannes under the Earl of Northampton; and was wounded at the siege of Morlaix. He married Cecily, daughter of [----]. He died 17 November 1344, and was buried in Easby Abbey. Cecily survived him, and married John DE CLOPTON before 23 October 1345.
