---------These were the descendants of Richard & Isabel, per CP-----------

EDMUND DE HAUDLO, son and heir [of Richard de Haudlo by Isabel], He and his wife Alice had livery of land in Boarstall, Brill, &c., and the bailiwick of the forest of Bernwood on 25 August 1346. He died s.p., 1 June 1355. His wife survived him.

His coheirs. were his two sisters: (1) Margaret, who proved her age 6 April 1358, being then the wife of Gilbert de Chastelleyn. She married, 2ndly, before 20 May 1366, John de Appleby, (h) and is stated to have died about 1394 (2) Elizabeth, who proved her age 13 April 1358, being then the wife of Sir Edmund de la Pole. In her issue she became sole heir to her brother. By Sir Edmund de la Pole she was mother of Elizabeth (died in or before August 1419), wife of Sir Ingram Bruyn, 3rd Lord Bruyn, and Katherine, wife of Robert James, son of John James. [Complete Peerage VI:401, (transcribed by Dave Utzinger)]

    (h) Release to John and Margaret de Appleby by William, parson of Steeple-Ashton, and by Aumarie de St. Amand quoted from Boarstall Cartulary in Kennet. John de Appleby is stated to have d. s.p. before 1372, but a John de Appleby with wife Margaret surviving, who certainly d. in Dec 1371, left a son and heir Robert, aged 5.

NOTE: Rosie Bevan in a post to SGM on 13 Jan 2004, stated that Elizabeth was not the sole heir, as stated above. There were several properties not found in Elizabeth's inheritance, which were held by Richard & Isabel: "The fact is, there are several manors missing from Sir Edmund de la Pole's inquisition, including the two Chadlington manors, Ore,
Asshedon, Winchcombe, Cleresplace, rent in Upton, Canterbury and Welde, and the Gloucs. manors of Coln St Aldwyn, Hatherop, and Wyke held in dower by Edmund de Haudlo's widow." This implies that Margaret had descendants.
