  • ID: I25230
  • Name: William WARHGHAM 1
  • Sex: M
  • ALIA: William /Warlington/
  • Birth: ABT 1305 in Warlingham, Godstone, Surrey, England
  • Note:
Leo states that William was named "Warlington". There was a manor of Warlingham (and maybe "Warhgham" was written with a scrunched up "lin" which looked like an "h"), also known as Warlington, in Surrey. However Surrey is a long way from Norfolk. There is also a Warlington Park in Oxfordshire (still a long ways away). British History stated that Warlington might have been in Hertfordshire, which is a little closer. Some entries in British History point to Warmington, Northants as a possible alias of Warlington.

However, I see that Warlingham/Warlington was held by the Watevile family, which also held lands in Norfolk. Therefore there might have been a connection.
