  • Note: Michael is not shown in the Burke's Peerage, but the dates given by Burke's certainly seem to require another generation here, as shown by Joe Oldham of World Connect (joeoldham AT home.com). Richard le Scot was probably of age in 1296 when he swore fealty to Edward I. Thus he was born before 1275 and his grandson Walter was born "before 1368" according to Burke's. A 93 year gap between is physically possible, but not at all likely.
