    She [Joan de Grey] married, before 17 February 1400/1, when they had livery of her inheritance, Sir John (DEINCOURT), LORD DEINCOURT. He, who was born 28 February 1381/2, died 11 May 1406. She died 20 November 1408, aged 22. [Complete Peerage VI:150, (transcribed by Dave Utzinger)]

    5. SIR JOHN DEIINCOURT, of Granby, Elmton, Wooburn, &c., next brother and heir, born [posthumous] 28 February 1381/2, at Middleham, co. York, and baptised there the next day. He was knighted by the King on the eve of the Coronation, 12 October 1399, at the Tower. He had livery of his father's Iands, 18 February 1404/5, his homage being respited, and his fealty being ordered to be taken by the escheator in cos. Notts and Derby. He married, before 17 February 1400/1, Joan, de jure suo jure [according to modern doctrine] Baroness Grey [of Rotherfield], daughter and heir of Robert, 4th Lord Grey [of Rotherfield], by his 1st wife, Joan. They had livery of her inheritance, 27 February 1400/1, his fealty therefor being ordered to be taken by the Prior of Shelford, Notts. He died 11 May 1406, aged 24. His widow's dower was ordered to be assigned, 15 July 1406. She, who was born on or just before 20 July 1386, at Rotherficld, and baptised there, died 20 November 1408, aged 22.
