    (l) This seems clear from the case of 1203, where Walter de Ros is described as uncle of Robert de Meinill (the Third); Walter's grant to Kirkham Priory being confirmed by his brother Piers, and by Robert de Ros, the chief lord.

    Note: According to several internet sources Robert & Sibyl had sons named Walter & Piers (who was Archdeacon of Carlisle), in addition to the heir, Everard.
