    Mary's mother died when she was very young and she was evidently raised by Radford Mavericke, who arranged her marriage to John Maverick.

    According to allegations in a suit of Robert Gye against Radford Maverick in 1604 in the Court of Requests, her father "gave great sums to Radford Maverick to bring up his daughter Mary, and that Maverick bestowed her in marriage to John Maverick, his cousin german". [Plantagenet Ancestry]

    Mary, who was living in New England as late as 9 Oct 1666. In 1665 Col. Cartwright stated that Mr. Samuel Maverick, his fellow Commissioner, "hath his mother, wife, children and brothers liveing there [in Massachusetts]." On Oct 1666 Samuel Maverick, writing from Rhode Island to Secretary Sir William Morrice, says that his mother "presents her humble service." (English Origins of New England Families)

    Mary was very young when her mother died suddenly without making a will. She was the youngest daughter mentioned in the inquisition on her brother George, and according to the indenture quoted.
    Mary appears in Blood Royal, Vol 5, page 736. She was a 17th generation descendent of William I, the Conquerer, as well as descending from the kings of the West Saxons and England (518- 535) (Westward Ho from Massachusetts Bay to Oklahoma)
