Leo van de Pas, citing ES, gives Caravicina the designation "Melisende dite Caravicina de Monthlery", and makes her a daughter of Gui I de Monthlery by Hodierne de Gomtz-la-Ferte. Obviously the dates are all wrong for this, and Gui & Hodierne already had a daughter (which Leo has) who married someone else at a much earlier time. The only thing I can think of is that Caravicina is a daughter of that Melisende, thus she is a Rethel. Of course Guy II had a Melisende, who might also be the wife of Ponce, however Leo goes back to Guy I. Another alternative is that Guy I and Hodierne had a daughter Caravicina who had a daughter Melisende who was wife of Ponce. I am going with the simplest explanation, making her a Rethel.
