  • Name: Nancy Ellen dau. of Elias BRADSHAW
  • Sex: F
  • ALIA: Polly /Eachart/
  • Birth: ABT 1850 in Howell Co, MO
  • Death: 23 APR 1916 in Union Co, OR

  • Note:
I originally had Thomas' 2nd wife as Polly Eachart, based on information I received from others on the internet (no exact source, and I wasn't as particular because she wasn't an ancestor). I received the following e-mail, which straightened me out:

I noticed your listing of Polly Eachart as the second wife of Thomas Jefferson Kirk. I have resaon to believe his second wife was named Nancy Erhart. My grandmother was Ann Kirk, daughter of Thomas J Kirk. I have a letter written to my grandmother from her cousin Clarence Rankin discussing the fact that Nancy Erhart had married Ann's father. Nancy E Kirk is buried in the Athena OR cemetary in Row 9 near Thomas J and Anne Kirk. She is also listed in the 1910 Athena, OR Federal Census as Nancy E Kirk head of house 60 yrs. old. and in the OR death files as Nancy E Kirk County: Union Death Date: 23 April 1916 which correspond to the death date for Nancy E Kirk buried in Athena. I checked records using Polly Eachart and didn't come up with anything and was wondering where the name came from. Thanks, Anne Summers
