    Blankenship, Benford A. Son of Otis R. Blankenship & May Harlan
    Lorene Lucille Blankenship, 73, daughter of Garley and Velma Bryant Robertson,
    was born Jan. 31, 1929, at Licking. She died Feb. 15, 2002, at Carondelet Manor in Kansas
    City. She married Benford A. Blankenship Dec. 10, 1946, in Baxter County, Ark. Mrs.
    Blankenship worked for Mercantile Bank and Trust Co. in Kansas City for 29 years.
    She was preceded in death by her husband of 40 years in 1987; one son,
    Harold Ray Blankenship in 1994; and a brother, Roy Wayne Robertson in 1986.
    Surviving are her son, Larry Wayne of Tigard, Ore.; stepsister, Geraldine Green
    of Jackson; four grandchildren and seven great-grand-children.
    Graveside services were Feb. 17 at the Licking Cemetery with the Rev. Robert
    Gifford officiating un-der the direction of Fox Funeral Home.
