    "Ernest F. Glawe, son of Friederich and Frericka Glawe, was borninWinnebago county, Illino i s May 12, 1876. He was reared on the farm--hisyouth and young manhood was spent here unt i l the age of twenty-three.OnFebruary 14, 1900, he was married to Miss Minnie Kubberness . T henewlyweds moved to Aurelia, IA, where they lived for five years.Thirtyfour years ag o t his family came to South Dakota, making their homeon thefarm north of Arlington, here h e res ided until moving to Arlingtonthisspring. Brother Glawe has been a good farmer, and a h ar d worker, ahomebuilder and a community asset. He is greatly loved by his familyandneighbo r s. In boyhood he became a member of the German Lutheranchurch.Since moving to South Dakot a , he has been associated with theMethodistchurch and has supported it with his efforts an d m oney. He wasa goodand loyal friend of the pastor and family. About six years ago, hewent t o the Mayo hospital in Rochester, for a physical examination, andhassuffered from anemia du r ing this time. Last year he submitted toanoperation, which helped for a time, but death ca m e peacefully, atnineo'clock Thursday morning, August 22, 1940. There are left to mournhis g oing, his wife, his daughter, Mrs. Ruby Philbeck, of St.Louis,MO, three sons, Clair , W arren, and Melvin, all of Arlington.Alsoseven brothers, WIlliam, of Aurelia, IA, Lew, Edw i n, Clarence,Walter,Elmer, all of whom reside in Winnebago county, IL, and twosisters, Mrs . Alfred Ludolph, of Freeport, IL, and Mrs. EmmaMiller,Aurelia, IA. There are ei ght grandchi ldren. He was a good husbandandfather, loving his family and his home, ernestl y trying to bu ild upafarm and home that would be an honor to this community.     When I go into town this a.m. I will stop at library and check
    Lysander cemetery record for Pecatonica. I live in a different
    county but about 35 miles south of Pec and I know our Sterling
    library has Winnebago county cem records. Here are a couple of
    photos of Ernest and Minnie and their four Children. In the
    Children photo, Ruby, Claire and Warren are standing behind
