2. According to Mary Bourke Emory in her book "Colonial Families and Their Descendants", Mary Bordley's husband was "Dr. Willis".
a. In the 1860 Census, there is the following:
Hugh M. Wallis 23 Farmer b. MD
Mary H or M " 19 b. MD
Walter C or G? " 31 Physcian b. MD
b. In the 1870 and 1880 Census, there is a Mary N. Willis of the right age living in Chestertown and married to an Edward Willis. However, Edward Willis is listed as a "watch maker and jeweller".
