BIOGRAPHY: William Harris worked with his father in the decorating and embossing
of plaster work (such as that found in great halls and church naves). They had a
falling out, possibly over wages, and William was removed from his father's
BIOGRAPHY: He had been working for minimal rates as it was intended that he
would take over the company when his father was no longer able to run it. After
the fight, his father altered his will to leave the business to William's
brother. William was temporarily blinded with shock. Although they later made
up, his father died before the will could be returned to its original state.
Afterwards, his brother let the business run down (he had never actually worked
in it) and eventually packed up and moved (to either Canada or Australia)
