    BIOGRAPHY: He was a Sea Captain from Northern Ireland. He was a rough man, who
    eventually ended up owning and managing a pub. Of his 3 sons, the eldest 2 were
    apprenticed to his ships. They both drowned at sea within a year of each other.
    His first wife prevented him from sending George to sea as well. Instead he went
    to school. However she died while he was a young teenager, and Christopher
    pulled him out of school and sent him to sea on his boats.
  • Note:
    BIOGRAPHY: Christopher Allan's second wife was a young girl. Her parents had
    died in India, and she and her sister returned to England on his ship.
  • Note:
    BIOGRAPHY: He was a frightening and loud man, who had piercing blue eyes, a
    fierce temper, and lived into his 90s.
