    1822' - Vol. 3 lists Hiram English’s win of 250 acres or lot 36, district 22 in Early County AND lists him as representing the heirs of J. English, Dec’d 202 ˝ acres AND representing the Englishes orphans on lot 38, district 4 in Houston County, AND for Wesley English 202 ˝ acres in lot 233, district 10 Dooly County. This was all in 1822'.

    Hiram English is listed as a male 20-30 yrs. in the household of his mother, Sarah English. - (GEM)

    1836' - The names of volunteers from Franklin County who served in the Indian War of 1836', are listed below.(*21) The similarity of names to Banks County families suggests that some of them probably lived in the territory later cut into Banks County. Roster of Capt. Turk's Company - 1836' - Indian War #17 H. English, # 18 J.W. English. This was brothers Hiram & John Westley English.

Hiram named his first son "Fleming" Augustus English. The matriarch of the Fleming family (neighbors to John W. English in 1850') was Martha Fleming, age 80 yrs. born in Ireland. "Fleming" might be of some kin, and a name and a direction for reseachers to explore. - (GEM)

English), 1 male 30-39 yrs., (Hiram English), 1 female under 5 yrs. (Mary Emily English), 2 female 20-29 yrs., (Maryen Louisa Mauldin English & Hiram's half brother, John's daughter, Martha English b. 1815'. John English was murdered in the previous year. (1839') This appears to be another confirmation that all three were brothers and John English a half brother. John English was too old to be Sarah's son.) - (GEM)
